Richard Cecil

Strategic Proposal Development Officer

Richard Cecil is the Strategic Proposal Development Officer in the office of Research Development Services (RDS). Richard’s role is divided evenly between the Medical Center’s RDS and Main Campus’s Office of Research Services (ORS). He provides pre-award administrative support for multiple departments at Georgetown, with a focus on specialized grant types and collaborative projects that span both campuses. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, as well as the following certificates from the Research Administrators Certification Council: Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Preaward Research Administrator (CPRA), and Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA). Richard has been at Georgetown since 2009 and has worked in RDS since 2015.
